CofC Giving Day’s Cistern Yard Block Party
Join us for CofC Giving Day’s main event on March 19, 2026 in Cistern Yard from 3:30 to 6:30 pm, bringing together alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends of the College for a community celebration around the heart of giving.
Alongside lively activities including music, food trucks, a giant foosball table, a cinematic photo booth, and the Spirit Squad & Chucktown Sound, education around philanthropy will be tied into the event through remarks from leadership, campus office activities tables, a special announcement of our Giving Day milestone, and more. Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations Dinner, featuring Matt Ridley
As part of Adam Smith Week, March 23-27, the Center for Public Choice and Market Process will hold a reception and dinner on Wednesday, March 25 to honor 250 years of The Wealth of Nations. The dinner will include a talk from Matt Ridley, New York times best-selling author, journalist and businessman who is known for his writings on science, the environment and economics.
Tickets for the reception and dinner are $75 per person or $500 for a table of eight. All attendees will receive a copy of The Wealth of Nations.

Hosted by College of Charleston leaders, Legacy Weekend is a meaningful celebration of the enduring impact of generosity, engagement, and lifelong connection to the College of Charleston. The weekend honors members of the Cistern Society and Porters Circle for their legacy commitments while also celebrating alumni marking 50 years or more since graduation, with special reunion programming for the Classes of 1975 and 1976. Together, alumni and friends are invited to reconnect with campus, reflect on shared history, and look ahead to the College’s continued momentum.

Campus Guided Trolley Tour

Sit back and rediscover the College of Charleston through a fun campus bus tour, where speakers will step-on and step-off the trolley to share highlights about iconic spaces, recent enhancements and the evolving student experience. This relaxed tour offers an easy way to connect with campus leaders and one another. Space is limited to 50 people.
Addlestone Library Special Collections Tour – A Look Back at the 1970s
