Consider a gift to the College of Charleston!

For those of you still searching for the perfect gift, consider a gift to the College of Charleston! It’s easy and there are a number of ways to make an impact:

1. ONLINE: Click here and follow a few easy steps. Just remember, we MUST receive your gift by 11:59 pm on December 31st to be eligible for a 2025 gift receipt.
2. CHECK: If sending a donation through the mail, please remember the envelope must be postmarked by December 31st to be eligible for a 2025 gift receipt.
3. PHONE: To make a donation over the phone, please call Laurie Soenen at 843.953.3418.
4. STOCK: A gift of stock has never been easier! Click here for instructions. To be eligible for a 2025 gift receipt, please be sure that the stock transfers are received in the Foundation’s brokerage account by December 31st at 4:00 pm. 5. WIRE TRANSFERS: If you’re sending a wire transfer, please contact Crystal Mead for wire instructions. Wire transfers must be received in the Foundation’s bank account by December 31st.
   IMPORTANT: Please be sure to email JR Barnhart to notify us that a wire transaction has been executed so that we may properly credit the transaction.
6. GIFT FROM YOUR IRA: With an IRA charitable rollover or qualified charitable distribution (QCD), each year you can give directly from your IRA to a qualified charity such as the CofC Foundation. Individuals may give up to $108,000 each year, and married couples may give up to $216,000, without paying income tax on the distribution. To be eligible for 2025 tax benefits, please ensure your IRA custodian mails your check by December 31st. Click here for instructions.
